Find out how Bike Walk Connecticut is empowering communities!
At Bike Walk Connecticut, we are working to create a Connecticut where everyone can move safely, easily, and confidently. Our work goes beyond individual programs to drive lasting change in how cycling and pedestrian laws are written, how communities connect, and how people experience everyday travel.
We help transform how people move through their communities. By advancing bike and pedestrian friendly initiatives and championing safer infrastructure, we make it easier and more appealing to choose active transportation. Our work contributes to more connected neighborhoods and a Connecticut where walking and biking are safe, practical, and widely embraced.
We drive meaningful policy change that makes Connecticut’s streets safer for everyone. By working with state and federal leaders, we help shape laws, funding priorities, and transportation policies that protect people. Our advocacy leads to safer local roads, stronger protections for vulnerable road users, and a future where walking and biking are fully supported across the state.
We empower people with the knowledge and skills to ride and walk safely and confidently. Through hands-on training, educational programs, and expanded access opportunities like scholarships, we break down barriers to participation.
From energizing statewide events to supporting local advocacy groups, we create opportunities for individuals and communities to get involved and make an impact. Our network strengthens local voices and turns shared passion into lasting change.
These milestones represent meaningful steps toward a more walkable and bikeable Connecticut and we’re just getting started. Together with communities, businesses, and advocates statewide, our impact continues to grow.
